John’s experience in both private and public accounting translates into a variety of experiences that benefit his clients. He works primarily with small and medium-sized businesses in the not-for-profit, hospitality, healthcare, technology, and service industries. Additionally, he offers specialized expertise in employee benefit plan audits.
John’s private accounting experience includes positions with a start-up technology company, a public healthcare company, and a consulting firm. He offers a unique perspective to audit clients because he knows what it’s like to be on the client’s side of an audit. John also relates to small business owners as they experience the implementation of new payroll or accounting systems, as well as testing and implementing internal controls to meet Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). He has also served on the boards of various business and community associations in the Atlanta area.
