Hilton’s glasses may make him look like an auditor, but he has a definitive way of clearly explaining complex auditing and accounting terms so that we all can easily understand them. He provides more than 30 years of public accounting experience in a broad range of fields — from individual and small business taxation to audits of governmental entities and not-for-profit organizations. As director of the Enterprise, Alabama, governmental accounting and auditing division, Hilton assists with the preparation, review, and presentation of more than 50 governmental and not-for-profit audits annually. In addition to speaking to numerous groups on various subjects pertaining to governmental accounting standards and practices, he is heavily involved in the firm’s industry-leading governmental auditing and consulting practice. He also serves as a contributor to our continuing education staff.
Hilton is a member of the Alabama League of Municipalities (ALM). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants (ASCPA), and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).
