Debbie asks plenty of the right questions to ensure that she provides the highest level of service for her auditing clients. She provides more than 30 years of audit experience to clients in Central Florida. Debbie works primarily with government contractors, governmental entities, nonprofit organizations, commercial companies and employee benefit plans.
Debbie offers expertise in providing government cost accounting services — including DCAA representation, contract rate calculations, developing ICE models, and setting up cost accounting systems that meet FAR Part 31.2 requirements. In 2009, striving to provide the most value to her government contracting clients, Debbie founded the Government Contracting Advisory Team (GCAT), a network of independent service providers that specialize in providing services to government contractors. Through the GCAT, government contracting clients gain quick access to a variety of government contracting specific services, including help with bid proposals, GSA schedules, contract negotiations, and RFP reviews.
As an active member of the local Melbourne community, Debbie was the chair of the board of the Space Coast Economic Development Commission (EDC) from 2014-2016 and still serves on its board and Financial Council. She recently joined the board and executive committee of United Way of Brevard. Debbie’s passion lies in economic development which is why, when she was chair of Florida Tech’s WeVenture, she drove the initiative to start mentoring for 2nd stage companies ( the Ignite program) and also formed the League of Extraordinary Women to raise funds to benefit WeVenture.
Debbie received the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) Women to Watch Award in the Experienced Leader category. During the same year, she was named to the FICPA’s President’s Honor Roll. Additionally, Debbie is a diplomate of the American College of Forensic Examiners (ACFE) and has been involved in many forensic engagements. She would rather assist clients with improving their internal controls than to have clients pay to determine how much has been taken from them due to weak controls.
