David is a trusted advisor to business clients in the greater Tampa Bay area. With more than 17 years of accounting experience, he focuses on not-for-profit, government, and manufacturing and distribution industries. David leads the governmental practice in the Tampa Bay area with school district, county, city, and special district clients. He is knowledgeable in accounting and auditing services and provides specialty services related to employee benefit plan audits — specifically defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans (401k and 403b). David also leads the Tampa Bay business valuation practice – he primarily works on valuations for tax-related and shareholder transition purposes. His valuation engagements cover many industries, including manufacturing and distribution, hospitality, retail, contractors, and family limited partnerships.
David is an instructor at firm-wide training events with specific teaching responsibilities in the areas of employee benefit plan audits, audit sampling methodology, and an introduction to business valuation course. He has also been a speaker at the FICPA USF Accounting Conference, Suncoast Chapter of the FGFOA and Florida School Finance Officers conference and is a member of the FICPA Accounting Principles and Assurance Services Committee.
David is currently a board member, executive committee member, and treasurer for The Florida Holocaust Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida and is a past board chair for Clothes To Kids. He is also a member of the 2020 Class of Leadership Tampa Bay.
Additionally, he is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), Government Finance Officers Associations (GFOA,) and Florida Government Finance Officers Association (FGFOA).
