CRI Funds Interview Room

Birmingham, AL - April 19, 2010 - Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI), the 34th largest firm nationally and 4th largest firm regionally, funded an interview room in the Auburn University College of Business for the Office of Professional and Career Development (OPCD). In the fall of 2010, the office will open to College of Business students, and the CRI room will be utilized for student interviews, mock interviews, career discussions, and/or virtual interviews via Skype or video conferencing equipment.

"Supporting career development initiatives of local universities such as Auburn allows us the opportunity to further student interest in the accounting profession--and specifically CRI--which is paramount to the continuation of innovative accounting services," stated Brian Barksdale, Partner-in-Charge of CRI's Birmingham office. "Our firm is dedicated to mentoring students throughout the various stages of their accounting careers, and funding this interview room simply offers another avenue to accomplish this goal."

The OPCD effectively centralizes on-campus recruiting interactions between students, faculty and employers while adding significant value and preparation for students' transitions between college and the workplace. The Office will provide educational and skills enrichment experiences as they relate to career education, professional skills development, and job search assistance. Career coaches will assist students with choosing majors, linking personal characteristics to career choices, and beginning intern and job search processes. Programming efforts will involve employers such as CRI who are interested in opportunities to assist with education and student development efforts.
