Developer

Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI) is a regional certified public accounting and
consulting firm with more than 700 professionals in over 30 offices throughout
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and
Texas. CRI is currently seeking a Developer and Architect to support the
Enterprise Database needs and workflow creation within IT Services located in
Enterprise, AL.
Complete Description: Design,
implement, maintain, and consolidate database systems across the enterprise
network. Research and apply best business practices for the design and
administration of databases. Create and maintain standard database policies,
operating procedures, and overall documentation. Implement proactive database
performance monitoring, fine tuning, and optimize database systems. Develop and
implement database backup and disaster recovery strategies. Conduct database
capacity and availability audits. Identify opportunities and implement solutions
to enhance existing database systems. Provide expertise concerning Data
Warehousing. Participate in IT and business projects to define database system
requirements and recommend technology solutions. Research, benchmark, document
and introduce new database technologies and features into application life
cycle. Collaborate with application developers, business owners, and architects
in design and implementations. Occasional after-hours maintenance and on-call
support required.
Minimum Requirements: In-depth expert knowledge and
experience with relational DBMS concepts, design, architecture, and operations.
Experience with database design and administration. Experience with MS SQL
Server to include MS SQL Server 2008. Experience with SQL Server Reporting
Service and SQL Server Integration Service. Experience with SQL Server clusters,
database performance tuning, database monitoring, and database backup/recovery.
Experience with Data Warehousing and Datamart technologies. Experience migrating
between different types of database technologies. Excellent written, verbal and
interpersonal communication skills. Capable of working independently with
minimal supervision, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Essential qualifications include: the ability to quickly adapt to new
situations, a strong commitment to a team environment, a willingness to learn
new technologies, the ability to deconflict requests/requirements, and the
ability to establish, maintain, and follow documented processes and procedures.
Preferred Requirements: Experience with several of the
following a plus: Windows operating systems, Virtualization (VMWare),
database-application development, active directory interface. Experience with
JAVA and .net technologies, and experience with Autonomy iManage workflow
design.
