Auditor - Melbourne, Florida

The Melbourne office of CRI is currently seeking an experienced auditor or internal auditor. Responsibilities:
An auditor may direct an engagement or project and can be responsible for the proper performance of fieldwork, reporting its progress to the partner, manager or supervisor. Professional skills of an auditor include (but are not limited to) the ability to work independently, complete work accurately and timely, organize and plan individual jobs, and establish workload priorities. Competency and technical skill sets include (but are not limited to) work paper preparation in an accurate, comprehensive, and understandable format that includes both adequate knowledge of professional and accounting standards and appropriate knowledge of federal, state, and local laws. Personal characteristics of CRI auditors include (but are not limited to) trustworthiness, integrity, professional in appearance in attitude and commitment to client service the “CRI Way.”

Qualifications: This job opportunity as a CRI auditor requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or other related business field from an accredited college or university. 2 to 3 years of experience as a staff auditor handling advanced assignments, servicing clients, and fulfilling client engagements. CRI auditors must demonstrate the ability to direct the work of others. The qualified candidate must also have CPA certification or be eligible to sit for the CPA exam. Governmental, not-for-profit and internal audit experience is a plus. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and expertise. Some travel may be required.
